A breakthrough order for volume production of EMC shielding finger strips in stainless steel has been won by Brandauer & Co. from leading electronic and electrical equipment manufacturer, Vero Ltd (Plate 1).

Through the contract, the Birmingham-based precision presswork specialist will supply a series of four new finger strip variants, each developed specifically to eliminate the health and safety implications associated with the use and subsequent disposal of beryllium-copper materials.
The new parts will be used by Vero to meet EMC shielding requirements on a range of electronic enclosure applications; in line with EC Directives for the control of RF and electromagnetic interference.
