Further investment in its production capacity has enabled flange manufacturer, TW Lye Technical Components Ltd (Tel: +44 (0)1384 898040) to increase its size range capability for stainless steel and special alloy flanges for the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industries.
The new capability, for manufacturing flanges up to 36" NB, has already resulted in an order for non-standard sized flanges worth over £100,000, for an oil installation in the Middle East.
As well as being equipped to manufacture "special" flanges in terms of either material grade or design to customer drawings, TW Lye Tech offers standard flange sizes from 1Ž2" NB. Slip on, weld neck and blind flanges are held either as finished stock or as blanks for machining. In addition to standard stainless 316L and 304L grades, the company stocks type 321 and duplex F51 used particularly in the chemical/petrochemical industry and in offshore applications.
All flanges are produced with full material traceability.
Soon to be added to the range are flanges made from nickel and high alloy materials. This is as a result of TW Lye Technical Components Ltd's parent company, TW Metals, recently having purchased Philip Cornes Ltd the UK's leading distributor and processor of nickel alloy, super alloy and high temperature stainless steels.
