Plascoat considers that manufacturers and coaters of external welded wirework now have a specialist coating alternative in the form of Plascoat WireGuard 10.

The company informs us that its product is a powder based system featuring a blend of polyolefins, and that it requires no primer when applied to cleaned metal. They also state that it offers lasting adhesion and a range of performance benefits. These are said to be excellent UV resistance, salt spray resistance, water absorption and flexibility, particularly at low temperatures.

According to Plascoat the forgiving nature of the product allows reject rates to be cut, while providing a quality, attractive, pinhole free finish in a range of standard colours. A process time when dipcoated of 4-7 minutes is also claimed.
