Reflec awarded £2 million rail components contract

Reflec was recently awarded the contract by AMEC, valued in excess of £2,000,000,to supply rail components to the Mass Transit Railway System in Hong Kong. AMEC is the main contractor for the Mass Transit Railway System and supplies of these components started early this year.
This contract follows the sizeable order for Kelvar coated components for the Mass Transit Railway in Singapore announced in June last year. Deliveries of these components started in December. These orders were won by Reflec Asia(formerly CCI (Asia), the company's newly acquired Hong Kong based subsidiary. Reflec Asia is currently in negotiations for the supplies of electrical system components for other railway companies in Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines.
Commenting on this contract success, Reflec's chief executive Peter White said, "This order confirms our position as a lead supplier of anti-corrosion coatings for electrical components for Far East railway systems. It provides us with a springboard to win further contracts. Shareholders will be pleased to see our latest acquisition delivering successes so promptly".
In addition to these orders, Reflec has an order book to supply £2.5 million worth of anti-corrosion products for a number of major infrastructure projects in SE Asia. Deliveries will start later this year. AMEC is the prime contractor on a number of these projects.
