Extreme acid chloride zinc processes, designed specifically for high-volume barrel plating operations, are introduced by Columbia Chemical.Columbia's Extreme processes offer extremely bright deposits and exceptionally high tolerance to job shop conditions. They are stated to be extremely easy and economical to use. The new processes also claims enhanced high temperature operation, high cloud point resistance, and excellent deposit ductility.

Excel described as the brightest and easiest- to-use next-generation alkaline cyanide-free process, has also been introduced by Columbia Chemical.

According to Columbia, Excel combines all brightener benefits into one package. The new process claims extremely bright deposits that are believed to be comparable to acid zinc plating and superior plate distribution on the most tough-to-plate part configurations. Excel reportedly provides excellent deposit ductility, eliminating blisters even at 1 mil thickness. It is said to be economical and easy to use, with the widest possible current density bright range for rack and barrel plating.
