Technical expertise and outstanding customer service are said to have played a crucial role in ensuring that Mandik, one of the Czech Republic's leading industrial manufacturers' has successfully established its new fluidised bed coating plant.
The plant, which uses Plascoat's PPA 684 for thermoplastic coating of battery boxes, has been operating successfully since its launch in December 2001.
Managing director, Vlastimir Mandik, said in praise, "Not only has Plascoat's product given excellent performance, their technical team's support and training have really helped establish the success of our battery box coating operation. This has ensured that our transition from polyurethane to thermoplastic coating has been a complete success".
Plascoat's technical department assisted with both pre-production design of equipment and on-site training of operators. Gerry O'Donnell, technical manager at Plascoat, said, "Our main aims were to ensure that the equipment was running at optimal levels and to achieve good, consistent quality. The plant is now running very efficiently. Plascoat provide technical support throughout the world and this is just one example of the type of service we can offer our customers".
