Sandvik Steel and Framatome ANP enter into an agreement for tubing

Framatome ANP, an AREVA and Siemens company, and AB Sandvik Steel have entered into a non-exclusive agreement to optimise their respective needs, in order to maximise their respective market shares in the worldwide steam generator manufacturing business.

Framatome ANP is the world leader in the construction of nuclear plants and the supply of nuclear fuel and services. AB Sandvik Steel has over 30 years experience in the marketing and manufacture of nuclear steam generator tubes.

The agreement enables Framatome ANP and Sandvik to better anticipate changes in technical requirements and regulations, to continuously improve the quality and cost of steam generator tubing and ultimately, to improve the cost competitiveness of the completed steam generator.

Both companies intend to work together to supply cost efficient products in order to meet end users technical and commercial needs. In particular, they aim to further improve competitiveness by cooperating in the development of new specifications.
