Trespa International has announced the expansion of its successful collection Trespa Meteon. The company has added seven new decors, which will enable architects and designers to create contemporary natural reflections, both in terms of colours and image. Six of the decors join the “Meteon Naturals”collection to evoke the effects of natural weathering – to provide a blend of authenticity and modernity. The seventh, a new “Meteon Wood Décor,”reflects the warmth of natural wood (Plate 2-6).

With natural building materials, the passing of time leaves an individual mark: erosion, oxidation and corrosion are all processes that create their own specific effects. The new Trespa Meteon decors Erosion (NA05), Patina (NA06),Deep Blue (NA07), Sierra Red (NA08), Oxidation (NA09) and Titanic (NA10) all evoke these natural weathering processes, helping to create tangible beauty. The seventh decor, English Cherry (NW10) joins the popular and effective range of Wood Decors, which combine the warmth of natural wood with the durability of Trespa panels.
These new Trespa Meteon decors draw their inspiration from traditional building materials. Each individual decor reflects the natural world and captures the timeless beauty of the world's natural resources. They have a perfect fit as part of any modern building – alone or in combination with other Trespa ranges or products. By expanding the collection, Trespa now offers more possibilities than ever to create contemporary designs.
These new decors provide a further dimension for the Perspectives platform. Its purpose is to help and inspire architects and designers who are looking for more creative solutions for building in general and for cladding in particular. Traditionally, the Trespa Meteon range of cladding panels has offered virtually limitless design possibilities. Perspectives opens up even more opportunities to give buildings their own unique identity.
The Perspective platform is a demonstration of applications, machining techniques and fixing methods, designed to show how cladding can be used creatively in new and different ways to change facades. It focuses on three different aspects: “Rhythm” which uses the pattern of shapes and lines to create form and mood; “Character” using special joints to emphasize the identity of the facade; “Depth” which shows designers how to create three-dimensional visual effects with combinations of shape, colour, texture and finish. Further variations can then be achieved by the choice and detailing of more physical aspects such as visible or invisible fixing systems, open or closed joints, serrated or plain edges and other devices.
