Atlas presents new product enhancements and state of the art weathering technology at the European Coatings Show 2007 in Nuremberg
The European Coatings Show, an international exhibition for the coatings and paint industry, is being held in Nuremberg May 8 to 10.
Atlas, which offers an extensive range of weathering and light fastness testing instruments designed for the coatings and paint industry, will exhibit in hall 1, booth 1-256.
Atlas will exhibit the Ci4000 Weather- Ometer®;, offering an enhanced digital control system that gives operators more flexibility and control of their accelerated weathering testing. One of the most notable changes is a modern, full color TFT touch screen display with intuitive icons for easier interpretation of operating parameters and warnings. Memory capacity has been significantly increased allowing additional features and functions previously managed by external controllers. Now with a single control system, operators can be more efficient analyzing instrument performance, monitoring test parameters and performing calibration procedures.
Furthermore, the Xenotest®; Beta+ will be presented at the show. The light exposure and weathering testing instrument simulates and accelerates the natural weathering process providing reliable results concerning the long-term behavior of materials. With its easy to use touch screen display, reliable sensor technology and multifunctional instrument features, the Beta+ is a universal weathering testing instrument that meets virtually all global weathering and light fastness test requirements of the coatings and paint industry.
Also presented at the show will be the SUNTEST XXL+. The SUNTEST XXL+ is a state-of-the-art, flatbed xenon exposure system to test the long- term effects that light, heat and moisture will have on products in their end-use environment. The XXL+ comes with an easy-to-use color touch screen, and the ability to control all relevant weathering settings. The 3,000cm2specimen tray is ideal for high-volume testing, testing of large components and three-dimensional parts. Furthermore, the XXL+ features specimen spray to test the long-term effect moisture will have on materials.
Atlas' fluorescent UV condensation weathering device, the UV2000, which is perfect for material screening in order to quickly and cost effectively examine the effect of UV solar radiation for materials like coatings and paint will also be exhibited.
In addition to their weathering devices, Atlas will also present their outdoor and laboratory weathering solutions and will introduce a new service:the Atlas Consulting Group, which provides consulting for the design, implementation and evaluation of weathering test programs as well as analysis of product failure and service life prediction.
