FlashCorr VpCI® – removes harsh salt build-up while providing complete corrosion protection

Article Type: Methods From: Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, Volume 60, Issue 3

FlashCorr VpCI® is highly effective, non-toxic, environmentally safe cleaner that removes and neutralises even the harshest of salt build-up from any metal surface.

Thanks to Cortec’s patented vapor phase corrosion inhibitors (nano-VpCI®)technology that represents an environmental and economic breakthrough in corrosion prevention – FlashCorr VpCI® enables superior protection of metal surfaces from corrosion. It has a unique ability to neutralise and remove salt deposits such as sodium chloride and other deicing and naturally occurring contaminants as well as protect from further salt exposure and flash rust.

Bio-based and biodegradable FlashCorr VpCI® is a blend of surfactants, chelating agents and corrosion inhibitors; it is non-flammable,nitrite and amine free and will not affect paint adhesion qualities. This rinsing agent can be used as part of a preventive maintenance program by municipal, state, federal, military and commercial customers and will add years to the useful life of equipment. Better yet – application will improve customers’ bottom line by protecting their investments from the ravages of corrosion.

FlashCorr VpCI® can be applied to sand blasted, water blasted and wire brushed surfaces in order to stabilize and protect against flash-corrosion before application of primers, paints and protective coatings.

The product will greatly reduce application costs and improve adhesion thus allowing effective and long term performance of protective coating systems:
