A Rolls‐Royce Dart propjet was recently removed from a Vickcrs Viscount airliner of British European Airways after flying for more than 5,000 hours since its last overhaul. This is the longest operating time between overhauls for which any aero engine has remained in an aircraft, undisturbed except for routine maintenance.
