Recent discussion and review of information on rejected take‐offs by the UK Flight Safety Committee seems to indicate that a strong case can be made for taking advantage of present technology to develop cost‐effective equipment that will identify suspect tyre pressures and temperatures and suspect acceleration. This is in the knowledge that there is still room for improvements, perhaps in procedures.
