AMONG the recent developments that have occurred among US companies is the agreement between Honeywell, a leader in integrated avionics systems, and Apple Computer. A electronic library system (ELS) will be manufactured by Honeywell that will incorporate a ruggedized avionics entry introduced Macintosh Quadra 800 high‐performance personal computer. The ELS is designed to provide airline personnel with timely access to all the information necessary to operate and maintain an aircraft (excluding aircraft control).
