This coating comprises particles of metal compound of refractive index greater than two distributed in a binding polymer which provides the microbeads with a coloured external surface and to a synthetic polymeric materials incorporating such microbeads.A pigment for synthetic polymeric material comprises such microbeads, and to microbeads for retroreflective paint.
