THE Wright (Series F) Cyclone is an advanced type of nine‐cylinder, fixed radial, air‐cooled engine, with a displacement of 1,823 cub. in. The Cyclone was developed for the military services with the co‐operation of the technical divisions of the United States Army and Navy. Approved by the U.S. Department of Commerce for a wide variety of power ratings, ranging from 660 to 715 h.p. at sea level up to 710 h.p. at 7,000 ft. altitude, the Cyclone is not only, it is claimed, the most powerful radial air‐cooled engine in established service operation, but offers a wider range of power than any other.
