High-density circular connectors for blind mating
The STT range of high-density circular connectors from Enfield-based manufacturer TEC Electrical Components feature scoop-proof quick-release bayonet coupling and keyway polarisation, reportedly ensuring that installation can be carried out quickly and safely even under blind mating conditions.
Available in a choice of nine shell sizes with numerous contact arrangements and in several different plug and receptacle styles, the connectors are designed to meet the requirements of a wide variety of aerospace and defence applications.
The connectors are said to be able to withstand rapid temperature changes from -65°C to 200°C and are unaffected by severe vibration. In addition, they are completely sealed in accordance with the requirements of BS 9522 F0012 to prevent the ingress of moisture and contaminating fluids.
STT Connectors
Current ratings range from 3 to 16A depending on contact size, while working voltages can be specified up to 1,250V. The STT connectors are accepted to Panavia Standard 6433-2 and meet the requirements of Eurofighter Specification JN1003.
