Messier-Dowty selected for the Rooivalk

Messier-Dowty, the joint venture between TI Group of UK and Snecma of France, has been selected, to design, develop and manufacture the main landing gear for the South African Rooivalk helicopter. The first production delivery is scheduled for December 1998.

The Rooivalk is a combat support military helicopter being developed by Denel Aviation, in South Africa. Denel has already signed a contract for supply to the South African Air Force and is confident about success in the export market.
