John Langston has been appointed chief executive of Forsheda Polymer Engineering Group (Plate 11), part of the TI Group and the leading global supplier of high technology elastomer seals for automotive, industrial and aerospace applications.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a graduate of the Harvard Business School, Mr Langston spent much of his earlier career with Lucas, where he became general manager of the company's European Car Braking Division, based in Germany. In 1993 he joined TI's Bundy Group and was chief executive of Bundy Automotive,before transferring to his new position at the end of 1998.
