Contract for engine management units

Keywords: Engines, Powersport Aviation, MBE Systems, Aircraft

The fast expanding UK powertrain technology company MBE Systems, based in Cirencester, reports that it has fought off rigorous competition to land a five-year contract with US giant Powersport Aviation.

MBE considers that the contract reinforces its increasing involvement in the design and implementation of power management systems for the aviation sector. Powersports' supplier-selection criteria focused on development time, whole life costs, quality, and production turn-around times. MBE claim to be unrivalled in all of the selection disciplines. The company believes that this prestigious contract highlights the team's ability to deliver high volume production solutions for major international manufacturers. Over the next few years the team will produce thousands of units for Powersport Aviation.

The engine management units will be fitted to 200-horse power rotary engines. Powersport Aviation's production team carried out over 300 hours of rigorous in-flight testing, during which the MBE system excelled all expectations.
