Continuing to provide next generation global positioning system (GPS)technology to system integrators, Trimble has introduced three additions to its Force family of military receivers: Force 18, a miniature GRASM receiver; Force 19, a GPS attitude determination system; and the Force 20, a precise positioning system (PPS) GPS PCMCIA card.

Trimble's Force 18 is a 12-channel, all-in-view, dual-frequency P(Y) code module designed to incorporate selective availability/anti-spoofing module(SAASM) technology. The miniature module can be tightly coupled with an inertial navigation system (INS) for high-dynamic platforms such as aircraft or missiles. The Force 18 is designed for 100g acceleration with 50Hz aiding data. The GPs receiver application module (GRAM) guidelines have been utilised to provide the highest compatibility with other fielded systems. GPs Joint Program Office (PPO)security approval for the Force 18 is in process.

The Force 19 is an all-in-view, 12-channel, C/A-code, dual-frequency GPS attitude determination and position location system. Coupled with an array of four low-profile antennas, the Force 19 is thought to be ideal for vehicle applications that require three-axis attitude and three-dimensional position and velocity whether the applications are on land, sea or air. The Force 19 is also being repackaged with a power supply that will provide more utility to the customers. This version is available in a P(Y) code vector configuration which updates attitudes at up to 10Hz and can be upgraded to SAASM.

Trimble's Force 20 is an all-in-view, 12-channel, dual-frequency, SAASM-based PPS, Type 3 PC card. It provides portable computing for applications such as individual geolocations, mission planning and movement tracking systems. The Force 20 provides a 26-pin data input/out port for full key-fill and data entry that is compliant with ICD-GPS-153, NMEA, RTCM 104 and an MMCX RF connection. The PC card is designed to GRAM Guidelines and GPS JPO security approval is in progress.
