The Chemetall Group, whose products include aircraft sealants, recently acquired the majority shareholding in Brent Chemicals International plc. As part of the Group's global integration process, Chemetall Ltd has moved its total UK operation from Aylesbury to the Chemetall Brent UK factory in Bletchley.
Over the last three years the site has been extensively modernised, providing refurbished offices and laboratories. Updating and modernising of the manufacturing plant is ongoing and has been since Brent first acquired the site in 1988.
The integration process will continue as there are a number of building projects planned to facilitate the integration. Other initial phases of the integration have been completed, including:
The appropriate production has been transferred from Chemetall sub-contractor to Bletchley.
The offices have been remodelled to accommodate additional personnel, and additional offices are currently being built which will provide the facility to have all production related department managers and personnel in the same office designed with efficiency of production and distribution in mind.
