Securon, which has 27 years' experience in the design and manufacture of seat belts, has introduced a new range of seat belt buckles that have been specially adapted for use on-board in executive jets (Plate 7).

Push-button buckles are used in passenger restraints and a separate turn-lever buckle is used by the crew. The first of several consignments are already in place and flying around the world.

The new aircraft belt buckles, we are informed, were designed, produced and manufactured in-house at Securon. They have reportedly been extensively tested by both the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and at Securon's own test unit. The belts are stated to meet all safety standards necessary for aviation use.
