A.J. Walter Aviation and BAe Systems announce the signing of a contract that gives A.J. Walter Aviation the exclusive sales and marketing rights to BAe Systems' surplus Avro RJ and BAe 146 inventory for five years.
The inventory is currently valued at £36m and extends to 38,000 line items. BAe Systems and A.J. Walter Aviation will add to the inventory over the period of the contract. A.J. Walter Aviation is also adding its BAe 146 inventory into the inventory pool. The stock consists of all types of parts and components including proprietary and vendor items, both consumable and rotable. These parts will be offered for sale throughout A.J. Walter Aviation's worldwide sales network.
A.J. Walter Aviation also informs us that it has signed a five-year agreement with what it considers to be the world's largest OEM to the industry. The alliance will ensure that operators have a repair and overhaul service fully supported by a substantial exchange pool of inventory for all types of aircraft including: B737, B757, B767, A340, Concorde, DC 10, ATR42 and ATR72.
The agreement will be beneficial to both companies. The eminent OEM will concentrate on the repair, overhaul and modification of rotable components,secure in the knowledge that A.J. Walter Aviation can supply and distribute any rotable components that are needed for the exchange programme.
