Xavier Dumant promoted to GM of Evron Casting

Howmet Castings, an Alcoa business, reports that it has appointed Xavier Dumant as general manger of Evron Casting, located in Evron, France. He will report to Gary Warness, vice-president of Howmet Aluminium.

"In his new role as general manager, Xavier will focus on increasing capacity and strengthening Alcoa's participation in the international market for high-property aluminium castings", Warness says.

Dumant joined Howmet-Ciral as technical director in 1992. Prior to that, he served two years as a research and development engineer at Howmet Castings in Canada. Before joining Howmet, Dumant was employed at the Pechiney Voreppe Research Center from 1984 to 1990, where he worked as a research engineer on aluminium-based materials.
