Keyword: European Airshow Council

The newly formed European Airshow Council (EAC) has launched its membership drive with a promise to promote excellence and safety at aviation events in all member countries. After four years of informal discussions, representatives of 15 nations voted to form the EAC at a meeting in Barcelona. The list of founder members amply illustrates the broad scope of the Council and especially its international flavour. The Chairman is from Belgium, organiser of a Flying Club airshow; the Vice-Chairman is the Director of the Royal International Air Tattoo in the UK. Other founder members are from Malta, France, The Netherlands,Luxembourg, Spain and Norway.
