Sandvik and Pathtrace extend working collaboration

AB Sandvik Coromant, Sweden and Pathtrace plc, have signed a worldwide agreement to co-operate on joint future developments for new machining techniques for both production machining and mould and die applications,including high speed machining.

As an result of the agreement, Pathtrace and Sandvik will carry out joint research and development to ensure machining processes match the future demands across the broad spectrum of manufacturing industry.

As part of the agreement, Pathtrace will also supply its EdgeCAM software,training and technical support to Sandvik's worldwide network of productivity and training centres, enabling customers to experience the benefits of Sandvik tooling combined with EdgeCAM machining expertise. Future releases of EdgeCAM will benefit from a comprehensive database of Sandvik tooling.
