OBE for Bob Ward
Bob Ward, Marshall Aerospace's Engineering Director has been awarded an OBE as part of a one off Honours List, which handed down honours to 56 military and 44 civilians who were involved in the Afghanistan campaign. Employed by Marshall Aerospace since 1987, he received the honour for his management and co-ordination of a series of highly complex and technically demanding major modification and installation programmes on Royal Air Force aircraft required for operations in Afghanistan. These were for the Hercules, Sentry and TriStar aircraft.
The citation for Mr Ward states "The achievement of these modifications to extremely tight timescales is only possible due to Mr Ward's outstanding leadership, his technical skills, and the organisation of his staff. His contribution to aerospace has been significant and he plays a vital role in supporting the Royal Air Force operations".
