THE “Salvator” parachute adopted by the Italian Air Force, designed by Captain Freri and constructed by Signor Avorio, is designed to function both automatically and manually. During the last two years or so, Signor Avorio put certain modifications before the late General Guidoni, who was studying parachute problems, very keenly and carrying out experiments in the course of which he unfortunately was killed on April 27, 1928.
