In combination with an aircraft, a receptacle having a perforate side and imperforate other sides, said perforate side being composed of a surface portion of said aircraft, a muffleer in said receptacle a compartment scaled, spaced from, and partially enclosing said receptacle, said compartment having a perforate wall and imperforate other walls, said perforate wall of said compartment forming a part of the surface of said aircraft which lies between said perforate side of said receptacle and the adjacent surfaces of said aircraft, and means to circulate a cooling medium through said chamber.
