IT seems impossible at the present time to get away from the subject of aircraft production for the Royal Air Force. Since we wrote last month much has happened. Lord Swinton has been superseded as Secretary of State for Air by Sir Kingsley Wood, there is a new Under Secretary of State in Captain H. H. Balfour and the Air Ministry have lost the valuable services of Lord Weir as advisor. This we deeply deplore, as with his business knowledge, added to the experience gained from his position as Director of Aeronautical Supplies during the War, we believe that his advice must have been of incalculable benefit.
