WE hope in the near future to be able to publish in full in these columns some of the more generally interesting of the papers read at the recent annual meeting of the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences. Meanwhile, there appears in this issue a report by PROFESSOR KLEMIN from which at any rate an idea can be gained of the width of the field covered and some indication of the scope of most of the contributions. Even with the ruthless compression necessitated by the limits of a survey to appear in one issue of a technical periodical this runs to nearly 10,000 words; which affords a glimpse of the very broad range of subjects dealt with and the amount of information disseminated. We feel that readers will wish us to congratulate PROFESSOR KLEMIN on the excellence of his precis‐writing in so successfully summarizing and extracting the “meat” from so large a number of papers on such a variety of matters—ranging from Aerodynamics to Medicine; from Structures to Meteorology.
