WE very much appreciate being permitted to publish the report of the U.S. Air Force Transport Command's inquiry into ‘customer reaction’ to the fitting of rear‐wardly facing seats in its aircraft, which appears in this issue. It forms a most interesting sequel to the article on the general subject of the design of passenger seats that we published in September.
