Raising the Bushel

OWING to the fact that the S.B.A.C. Display is being held a week later this year than hitherto we reluctantly decided some months ago that it would be quite impossible to publish our annual survey of it. We may perhaps explain that we have to close for press over a fortnight before publication date, which involves all the ‘copy’ and illustrations being in the hands of our printers and blockmakers at least a week before that. It will, therefore, be readily appreciated that it is quite out of the question to have an illustrated article on the Display ready in time for publication in our October issue when the event does not finish till September 16; while all interest in it would have evaporated if it did not appear till November.
