When an author seeks to instruct in authorship, he cannot complain if his own works are judged by the standards he advocates. By his own standards Mr Baker has written a very good book and Mr Baker's standards are very good standards indeed. Today, when the number of people writing about engineering products nearly equals the number of people devising them, a more timely work could not have been issued by any publisher.
