A fifteen‐unit flexural creep test machine has been used by the Boeing Airplane Co., Seattle 24, Washington, U.S.A., to carry out a testing programme on a plastic laminate material, More than 1,000 specimens of an epoxy resin laminate tooling material were tested at constant stress from 30 to 50 per cent of the breaking load and for periods of 500 hrs. at room temperature, and at 120 deg. F. It is claimed that very substantial savings in test time have been effected using this 15‐unit machine.
