Motorized Steps for Aircraft Access The Sabena special branch services have now devised a motorized staircase for aircraft passengers. The first has just been brought into operation at Brussels‐National airport. These new steps are completely independent. The weight is about two and a half tons, and they can be put in position by one man, compared with three or four men required for aircraft steps of the old type.
