Skyvan Light Freighter: Brief Details of the All‐purpose Aircraft Produced by Short Brothers and Harland, which made its Maiden Flight on January 17

THE Short Skyvan light freighter aircraft made a successful first flight from Sydenham airfield, Belfast, on January 17, 1963. Flown by Denis Tayler, Chief Test Pilot of Short Brothers and Harland Ltd., which designed and built the aircraft, the Skyvan took off at 11.15 a.m. and was airborne for 15 min.
