PRAISE from the master is praise indeed and it was therefore most flattering of MrNajecb Halaby, Administrator of the Federal Aviation Agency, to describe the Flying Display at this year's Farnborough Air Show by saying that never in thirty‐one years as a pilot had he S3en such superb flying. Although there are many who would agree with this description of a highly‐skilled and meticulously‐timed demonstration of Britain's latest aircraft, there are others who might suggest that the flying programme at the Twenty‐fourth S.B.A.C. Show lacked any real originality. The absence of the TSR‐2, even for a brief run across the airfield, contributed to a feeling of lack of mystique.
