Recently demonstrated in London by FieldTech Ltd., London (Heathrow) Airport, Hounslow, Middlesex, was the model MTR portable tape recorder/reproducer produced by the Leach Corporation, of Los Angeles. This instrument, shown in FIG. 1, weighs 44 lb., has a volume of less than 1 cu. ft., and requires approximately 55 watts of power.
