Equipment, Programmes, Techniques and Projects. Non‐destructive testing of B.E.A. aircraft at London Airport is being aided by two 35‐ft. Simon hydraulic platforms, mounted on Stacatrue electric vehicles. Each unit has a specially designed cage of circular construction which carries a rotating turret on which can be mounted an X‐ray tube head. The platforms are used to position X‐ray film on the fins of the larger aircraft and at other points normally difficult to reach.
