With (he order from British European Airways for (he 500 Series One‐Eleven, the British Aircraft Corporation can now offer (his stretched variant of the 1–11 to airlines in addition to the existing 74/79 seater 400 Scries. The new aircraft will have the advantage of sharing common spares and equipment with the earlier versions, and will benefit from (he experience of the eighty plus one‐Elevens already in airline operation.
