Ear‐to‐ground Available to Purchase

★CONCORDE ROLL‐OUT. Concorde 001 made its first public appearance on December 11 when it was rolled out from its hangar at the Sud‐Aviation factory at St. Martin, Toulouse. A short but impressive ceremony was held to mark this milestone in the progress of the project. Speeches were made by M Jean Chamant, the French Minister of Transport, and Mr Anthony Wedgwood Benn, Minister of Technology, who have ministerial responsibility for the project in France and Britain, and by Sir George Edwards and M Maurice Papon, this year's chairman and vice‐chairman of the Concorde airframe committee of directors.
