The Use of Computers in Flight Testing

DAVID BATTEN is a Senior Computer Analyst with the Data Systems Group of Rank Xerox Limited. He received a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering from Liverpool University and since joining Rank Xerox in July 1971 has specialised in large real‐time telemetry data acquisition systems. He recently spent an extended period on site at B.A.C. assisting with the implementation of the computer and telemetry system supplied by Rank Xerox for flight testing the M.R.C.A. part of the Panavia consortium.
