Since the last time an article about the Rolls‐Royce Gem gas turbine engine appeared in Aircraft Engineering (June 1972) the development programme has nearly been completed and a firm base for production (first deliveries in September this year) has been established at the Rolls‐Royce Small Engine Division at Leavesden in Hertfordshire.
