DEVELOPED to enable integrally‐reinforced structures to be produced more easily than by other methods, a novel chemical milling technique employed by Chem‐tronics Inc of El Cajon, CA, produces load‐bearing jet engine ducts in which the required configuration of stiffeners and comparatively thin areas is formed from solid sheet, titanium alloy stock.
