Portable Flaw Detector With Built‐in LCD Thickness Meter Available to Purchase

A new high performance portable flaw detector has been introduced by Wells‐Krautkramer. The latest of the USL range, the USL 48 is a high resolution instrument with selectable 5 band amplifier, range from only 4mm to over 6 metres, built in 4 digit LCD thickness meter and electronic DAC. Capable of being matched to almost any probe/material combination for examination and measurement, its exceptional near surface resolution makes it well suited for example, to aerospace applications and for thin materials. Immersion ultrasonic techniques can also be used with this instrument.
