An order worth in excess of £100,000 for absolute air pressure transducers has been received by the Aerospace Department, Farnborough Division of Solartron Transducers, from Smiths Industries in Cheltenham. These transducers will be the primary sensors in air data computers being manufactured for Sea Harrier aircraft of the Royal Navy.
