WOODVILLE Polymer Engineering limited has grown from a small rubber moulding company, founded in Woodville, Derbyshire in 1948, to a world leader in applied polymer technology. Its blend of capabilities which range from original design and development to production engineering and manufacture in a wide range of elastomeric and composite materials, has found many niches in the World's Aerospace Industries. With the bulk of the high volume industrial moulding capability concentrated at the Ross‐on‐Wye Division, the Division located at Swadlincote, Derbyshire has over the past twenty years, increased its Aerospace and Defence activities to the point where in 1986, 75% of sales were to this market sector and of these sales 85% are exported to the USA and Europe. Through planned development in four seemingly diverse directions Swadlincote Division has become a technical leader in these areas to an extent that some of the skills and pro duction techniques are unique to the industry.
