Safety Topics: Helicopter Airworthiness

A Conference held at the Royal Aeronautical Society discussed the experience and applications of helicopter Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS). Civil and military operators, manufacturers and regulatory bodies gave their views on airworthiness of rotating wing aircraft and the efforts directed towards safety standards comparable to those achieved by fixed wing types.
