Fokker 70 First Flight Scheduled for July 1993

FOKKER has given the internal go‐ahead for the Fokker 70 programme. A dedicated management team has been formed and design work on the new Fokker jetliner has begun. First flight of the Fokker 70 prototype is scheduled for July 1993, with first deliveries planned for the last quarter of 1994. Following the formulation of an industrial consortium to build the Fokker 70 and the signing up of launch customers, the programme is expected to be formally launched later this year.
